Below are just a few of the key issues that we will discuss:
Fast-approaching Deadlines – due to the ending of the Public Health Emergency (PHE) in approximately 30 days, significant features for Telehealth, COBRA, Medicaid, etc. will end. Do your clients/brokers know?
Cost of Healthcare Coverage – address issues contributing to the drastic increase of the cost of care including cost of prescription drugs, supporting increased flexibility on the use of HSAs for telehealth, and limiting barriers to employer sponsored coverage.
Employer Reporting – establish a new voluntary reporting system, reduce the number of individuals and amount of information reported, eliminate the requirement to collect dependent Social Security Numbers, and ease reporting provisions.
Medicare Marketing – promote access to licensed and certified health insurance agents and brokers by eliminating the call recording requirement for MA and Part D enrollments.
Medicaid Unwinding & Recertification – in exchange for enhanced federal funding, FFCRA required Medicaid to keep people continuously enrolled. This provision has already expired…come to find out when!
Access to Healthcare – support expansion of the existing three-share programs (premium costs shared by employer/employee/state funding) that provide premium assistance for small employers
