FWAHU Luncheon and 1 hour CE presented by Eric Johnson – Thursday, May 11, 2017
Please join us as FWAHU’s own Eric Johnson presents “ACA: Should It Stay or Should It Go?” (1-hr CE – Course# 107168, Provider# 37719).
Course Description: Should it stay or should it go? Who knew this was even a question? After seven years of complaining about the Affordable Care Act and promising to repeal and replace the law if given the chance, it seemed certain that Republican lawmakers would do away with the health reform law and introduce common sense reforms to take its place. However, due to in-fighting among GOP members in the House, the American Health Care Act was pulled before they had a chance to vote. That doesn’t, however, mean that health care is dead; the topic will almost certainly be revisited in the coming months. In this course, we’ll 1) talk about the Republican promise to repeal the Affordable Care Act take a look at Paul Ryan’s three-step plan, 2) introduce you to the major players in the repeal and replace efforts, 3) dive into some of the more prominent ACA replacement proposals, 4) identify the ideas that those plans have in common, 5) discuss the probable timing of some of the changes, and, most importantly, 6) point to some of the huge opportunities that will exist for brokers in 2017 and beyond. While nobody knows for certain what will happen, this course will save you hours of time researching the various proposals and trying to guess where the market is going.

FWAHU Annual Awards Dinner and New Board Installation
